So perhaps it's not a good idea to swim with Polar Bears after all. Some woman thought that it would be a wise choice to climb the fence and enter the Polar Bear habitat at the Berlin Zoo, during feeding time no less. Read the whole thing here.
Long story short, she climbed the fence, she was mauled, she was rescued, she was sited with trespassing.
Would it have been a great loss to humanity if the bears had eaten her? I've gotta say I'm leaning towards no. I mean come on, do the Polars Bears look that cuddly? Or maybe German Women are just really tough? Maybe whatever the bears were being fed looked good to her?
This was an opportunity for some less-than-favorable DNA to be removed permanently from the global gene pool, but no, Zoo security just had to be good enough at their job to save this baffoon. Did anyone stop to think that if this woman climbed into the Polar Bear habitat, willingly, that maybe, just maybe she didn't want to come back out.

This morning I mentioned this to Edge and his friend on the way to school and I was telling them how compassionate you are, and the friend actually said "Well, how mauled was she?" "I mean was it even worth it to get her out?"
What are they teaching kids these days?
Shoulda been polar bear food.
