Who knew planning a family vacation would be such a headache?

Oh, everyone who ever tried to plan one I guess.



I have One Sister and two brothers, and we all have families (spouses and children), and we've been planning a big group summer vacation for this year for what feels like a decade now. Well, before the great depression set in we were all going to go to Disneyland. I was looking forward to it, as I'm sure everyone else involved was, there are thirteen kids involved in this trip after all.



But now, due to financial restrictions in most of the families, we're trying to figure out what we can do to save a little money. Basically to ensure that everyone can still come, because that is the whole point of a big family vacation. Family. Not some silly mouse eager to take my money.

Well, that's what I thought anyway. It turns out that there are some members of this circus (I mean extended family) that are very serious about making Disney our final destination. Fine with me, I just want everyone to be able to go and to get along about it, but there is also an anti-Disney faction.

I like my family, and I really want to get together this summer, especially since we're about to have another child and it will be nearly impossible to travel that far for a few years, but I feel like it's turning into one of those bad reality shows with secret alliances and subtle power plays. I'm a big fan of openness and honesty. I'm that guy that's going to tell you what you don't want to hear. I just think that it's better with full disclosure.

Anyway, I let you know how it turns out, and if anyone gets voted off the island. I'm probably going to be the first to go. (Note to self: keep big mouth shut.)
